Microplastic Poster and Brochure | Poster: 11 in. x 17 in. | Brochure: 11 in. x 20 in.
For this series, I created a poster as well as a brochure that emphasizes the dangers of plastic waste and how they can impact the people that produce them and the wildlife that consumes them. The poster itself illustrates the concept of how the plastic will overwhelm our oceans if we do not do anything about it. The fish surrounding the bottle represents, literally, the proportion of fish to plastic in the future. The Brochure itself talks more in-depth about the dangers of microplastics. I wanted to create a visually engaging brochure, so I chose a wave die-cut that shows a bottle floating in water (both in the folded and unfolded versions. We follow this bottle throughout the history of plastic, the facts about microplastics, and the threat they pose to both human and animal life.

Plastic Pollution Coalition Duality Poster Concept | 11 in. x 17 in.

Duality Poster Concept | For this advertisement, I wanted to create an installation piece that conveyed the impact of plastic pollution on marine wildlife. The poster comes with both a red and blue filter. With the red filter, which is the audience's perspective, you see a plastic bag floating through the water. With the blue screen, which is the turtle's perspective, there is a jellyfish. This interactive piece is meant to get the viewer to empathize with the marine wildlife and hopefully reduce plastic waste, as over 200 species of wildlife have consumed plastic within their lifetimes.
